Lord's Taverners Cricket Match, 27th June
Another regular fixture in Sark's events calendar is the annual cricket match between the Seigneur's XI and the Lord's Taverners XI. There is always a number of celebrities who come over with the team to help them raise money for charity. In recent years, the team has included many of the EastEnders cast, including Lady Taverner Wendy Richards, June Brown ('Dot Cotton') and Letitia Dean, who also came to support her husband.
Other visitors included cricketers Jon Snow and Andrew Caddick, as well as singer David Essex and Falklands veteran Simon Weston. The auction which follows the match always raises an impressive amount which is sent to charities in both Guernsey and Sark.
